As an Assistant Research Coordinator, I am responsible for addressing project needs and proposing positions plus next steps on familiar components in collaboration with superiors. I also conduct interviews, draft contracts and complete OA's of incoming students to assess their interests and assign appropriate roles based on their abilities.
As a Research Assistant in AML Name Screening, I developed an autonomous web crawler with spam detection and multithreaded support for the dark web, and integrated both search engine and crawler into a prototype application. In addition, I gave presentations on my progress to the team and collaborated with other researchers.
As a System Administrator, I set up an nginx server, registered domain, employee authentication, mail server and contact form based on company needs. I established company-wide security best practices and standards, documented procedures and protocols to mitigate the risk of a data breach, and made a security-centric pipeline integrating security workflows and contributing my expertise to the development process.
Working as a Teppanyaki chef at a Japanese restaurant was a valuable experience that taught me various customer service skills and helped me to develop my interpersonal skills. In this role, I was responsible for preparing and cooking dishes in front of customers, which required me to be confident and personable while interacting with guests. I learned how to handle difficult situations, such as dealing with unhappy customers or managing large groups, and how to handle high-stress environments while remaining calm and professional.
Working as a junior technician at Puroclean Restoration taught me valuable skills related to hard work and dedication. In this role, I was responsible for assisting the senior technicians in cleaning and restoring properties that had been damaged by water, fire, or other types of disasters. This often involved physically demanding work, such as lifting heavy equipment and materials, and working in challenging conditions, such as hot or cold weather.
